1) a site visitor reads a blog post and then hands over their email address in return for a downloadable PDF.
2) Their journey begins. They receive an automated email with their PDF.
3) A couple of days later they are delivered more information/value based on the topic.
4) Then a further few days later they are automatically delivered an email with a stronger call to action that is tied to new business. This user is a ‘warm’ lead because they know your business and you’ve been helpful.

Imagine your buyer’s journey is an average of 4-6 weeks. They begin by searching for information on the problem and they find a blog post you published. Depending on how they interact with that email you, set them on a different path of valuable emails.
